BiographyTurkish photography and painting studio run by three Ottoman brothers of Armenian descent: Viçen Abdullahyan (1820-1902); Hovsep Abdullahyan (1830-1908); Kevork Abdullahyan (1839-1918). Ran a studio in Istanbul. In 1863, Abdullah Frères became the official court photographers of the Sultan Abdulaziz. In 1886, Kevork opened a branch studio in Cairo, Egypt which operated until 1895. Abdullah Frères sold their studio in 1899 to the firm of Sébah & Joaillier.
